The Life of Jordan James Harris

Jordan James Harris was born on May 16, 1997, to Hope Robinson and Nathan Harris in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

Jordan was a loving baby and always interested in the world around him. At the early age of two, Jordan was diagnosed with Autism. Although this diagnosis was accompanied with a set of challenges, Jordan never let Autism impede on his progress in life. In fact, Jordan excelled in his life and lived it out loud with the love and support of his family. Jordan and his entire family participated in the Walk for Autism for many years.

Jordan loved music, dancing and enjoyed computers. Jordan especially enjoyed spending time with his two special aunts Denise and Kim. Jordan enjoyed accompanying his Dad on errands and even a trip to Cleveland, Ohio to meet his family. He shared a special bond with his mother Hope and sister Alexandria - often trying on clothes like his mother and sister. Despite Jordan never speaking out loud, he spoke through his gestures of love. He was charismatic, funny, and empathetic; always greeting his family with hugs and kisses.

As an intelligent young man excelling in his academic endeavors, Jordan graduated from Kenwood Academy in May 2013. He then continued his education at Ray Graham Training Center where he was surrounded by other achieving peers and supportive teachers. Jordan loved school and was eager to learn. Often Jordan could be seen racing his mother to the bus every morning. Jordan enjoyed all the wonderful activities he was able to participate in at Ray Graham. Jordan was a member of Special Olympics for many years; he loved running and he was so fast lightning could not catch him. Jordan enjoyed the various adventures and attractions out in the community such as shopping, restaurants, and museums; especially with his late grandfather Arnold.

Jordan is survived by: his parents, Hope Robinson and Nathan Harris; sister, Alexandria Harris; grandmothers, Fontella Harris, and Edith Robinson; aunts, Denise Campbell, Kim Jones, Lishia Campbell, and Sharon Sharpe; uncles, Eric Harris, and Ronald Jones; nephew, Adrian Hill; and a host of other relatives and friends.
