Obituary for Edward Cooper

Edward Lee Cooper was born March 29, 1962 to Evelyn Fitzpatrick Cannon Cooper, and Willie Edward Cooper Sr. (who preceded him in death).
At an early age he professed his faith at Carter Temple CME Church in Chicago, IL and went on to faithfully serve as a Junior Ushers and a Merit badge (Boy Scouts of America).
Edward attended John Cook Elementary school, Lindbloom Technical High and Calumet High School. When he received his high school diploma in 1980, he enlisted into the United State Army, after 2 years of service he left with a honorable discharge. He worked for the Chicago Transit Authority, and the Federal Aviation Administration. Early 2009, Ed was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and was unable to work.
Edward was a prodigy musician on the alto saxophone. He loved all types of games and sport of strategy and competition, especially basketball.
On Wednesday, May 1st 2019 at 4:10pm he passed away peacefully with his mother and brother James by his side. Edward’s leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted mother, Evelyn Yvonne, his sister Marie, four brothers: Keith (Sonya), Johnny, Larry and James. His brother, Willie Cooper Jr. preceded him in death. Also left to appreciate his celebration of life are nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of relatives and friends. The family would like to acknowledgement his friend Dave, ex-veteran who stuck with Edward to the end, his kindness, assistance and weekly visits were greatly appreciated. Thank you to all who have been supported to the family.
