Obituary for Carrie Mae Amous-Ross

Carrie was born Chicago March 11, 1957 to mother and father, Rosie Amos Joesph Amos (Who both proceeded her in death) around the tender age of 9. Carrie was later raised by her Auntie Annie Russell, Carrie was the second oldest of 5 siblings.

Carrie later had her oldest child Michelle in the early 70s where she than became CNA caring for people. Close to all her siblings Carrie enjoyed dressing up and going to bars. The casino was one of her favorite places. She lived her life to the fullest and dressed to empress, she would always say to her granddaughter you get your style from me.

Having endured a hard labor she gave birth to her baby girl Rosie Lee Ross in 1985, showing Just how strong she was she cared for her up until late 1990s, Michelle her oldest daughter than raised her sister Rosie. Who turned out to be a bright joyful and beautiful young lady.

Carrie stood 5’9 tall and with a smile that would light up a room, she loved her family and siblings dearly. She specially enjoyed being with her baby sister and big brothers listening to blues. She enjoyed the company of all her family.To be around them joke and laugh, Carrie had a soft spot for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, giving them all the jewels to be strong and successful.

Carrie accepted Christ joining the Coptic faith in the late 90s under the leadership of Prophet Joshua (who proceeded her in death) and his wife Doctor Supreme Queen Empress Leah. As she sit in the class school of wisdom Carrie was taight to have an high opinion of yourself. And she truly did gaining the spiritually name Mocah. Later on she went under the leadership of Bishop Titus at Faith Coptic Temple.

Carrie became ill suffering 3 strokes and heart surgery in 2005 to 2008... she was blessed to have had a daughter and granddaughter that took care of her until very last breath. Carrie wouldn’t want us to feel sad about her going on.she didn’t give up on anything easily. Carrie fought for what she wanted and still being full of life she held nothing back saying what had to be said. Carrie was head strong caring and had a funny personality, to know her was to love her. And her strong spirit still lives.

Carrie leaves behind her two beautiful daughters Michelle Amos And Rosie Amos. Her two grandchildren Antonio Amos, And Sierra Amos, and two grandsons, Daniel And Aziz Muhammad. Aunties Annie Russell, Marlene Hatley, Penny Hatley (who proceeded her in death)Uncles Charles Hatley (prcoceeded in death) Willie Hatley,Jerry Hatley, Johnny Hatley (ol’soul) Two of her youngest siblings Tommie Radix Vanessa Tanner and her brother in law James Tanner. Two oldest brother Joseph Amos Curtis Amos (Who both proceeded her in death). Two beautiful nieces April Amos And Jennifer Armstrong. Nephews Levell Amos, Joseph Amos, and Jammie Amos. And a host of great nieces nephew.
